This Privacy Policy explains how Talpool collects, uses, stores, and shares information when merchants, merchant staff, and end customers use the Talpool try-on experience, related storefront pages, and supporting services. We provide this policy to support transparency, privacy-safe app operations, and Shopify App Store review requirements.

1. Scope

This policy applies to Talpool storefront demos, hosted try-on experiences, and app functionality that helps merchants offer AI-generated apparel try-on previews to shoppers.

When Talpool processes information on behalf of a merchant, the merchant remains responsible for its own store privacy notices and customer-facing disclosures.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how the service is used, Talpool may collect and process:

  • Merchant account and contact information needed to provide and support the service.
  • Store and product metadata required to generate try-on outputs, such as product title, image, URL, garment type, and pricing display information.
  • Images uploaded by shoppers or merchants for try-on generation.
  • Technical and usage data such as request timestamps, browser or device details, IP address, job status, error logs, and diagnostic information.
  • Installation, authentication, and limited Shopify app data necessary to operate within Shopify's platform and only for approved app functionality.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Talpool's virtual try-on features.
  • Generate requested try-on previews using uploaded model images and selected product images.
  • Support merchants, monitor reliability, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Protect the security and integrity of the app, merchants, shoppers, and Shopify platform interactions.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Shopify Data and Access

Talpool is designed to operate within Shopify's platform. We request and use only the data and access scopes reasonably necessary to deliver the app's core functionality.

Talpool does not intentionally circumvent Shopify platform controls, merchant workflows, or billing requirements. We use Shopify-connected data only for the purposes described in this policy and in the merchant-facing app experience.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:

  • Infrastructure, hosting, storage, analytics, and security vendors acting on our behalf.
  • Service providers that help us generate try-on outputs or support app functionality under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable privacy commitments.

Talpool does not sell personal information or uploaded shopper images.

6. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, complete requested processing, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations.

Uploaded images and generated try-on outputs may be stored temporarily or for a limited operational period, depending on the merchant workflow, support needs, and system configuration.

7. Security

Talpool uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Merchants may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or additional information about data we control, subject to applicable law and our role in the processing relationship.

End customers who interact with a merchant's store should generally direct privacy requests to the merchant first, because the merchant usually determines the customer data collected through its storefront.

9. Children's Privacy

Talpool is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
